I HEART Adidas

I always have, I still remember my when my pa brought me my first pair of pumps, l was so proud. Ive never been a suited or booted gal, always more in favour of a dutty pair of classic, kicked in, old boots or trainers, worn fabrics and streetwear l like my look to let me do what l wanna do, run when l need to dash and get right involved no matter what terrain l'm ploughing, or weather l'm up against. My love affair with Adidas and the brands unique, considered, slick, aerodynamic choice in fabric, understated aesthetic and original feel stem from the brands unrivalled ability to allow the wearer to appear effortlessly chic while doing what we do harder better faster and stronger. From a fashion perspective Adidas clothes just look good, for all functional intent and purposes the designs of the clothes are simply superior in terms of performance. Here are some of my choice items from the brands forthcoming collections.

Adidas SLVR SS10

"Sport is everywhere, and sportswear is an element of daily life. The adidas SLVR communication campaign for Spring/Summer 2010 stresses this fact with its cast of world class athletes, bringing contemporary sport stars to the fore and celebrating the adidas history of athleticism, elegance, and ingenuity.

Photographed by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Nicola Formichetti, with art direction by Pietschlim, the campaign zooms in on five athletes, photographed off-court in a contemporary urban setting. The cast includes American track and field star Allyson Felix, Croatian high jumper Blanka Vlašić, Slovakian tennis player Daniela Hantuchová, Dutch footballer Robin van Persie, and Chilean tennis player Fernando González.

WEDGES

adidas SLVR is launching the LACE UP WEDGE and SUMMER WEDGE - the comfort and fit of a sports shoe transformed into an elegant wedge silhouette. These shoes showcase SLVR's sports elegance message with a simple iconic form.

NYLON BAGS

The SLVR NYLON BAG collection has been built around the premise, how to make every day life simple. The collection is inspired by the easy way of life when you are on the road or just moving around in the urban landscape. The focus is on pockets so you can compartmentalize your things and the openings are big and easy to get to. The fabric is an oil-treated rip-stop nylon and closures are made of thick shoe laces, adding a sporty and smart feel to very practical products.
